Hermitage Bay - FACTS AND INFORMATION

Description

There is a true sense of arrival at Hermitage Bay from the moment guests enter the resort gate. Immediately the lush, local flora and fauna of the naturally landscaped grounds becomes center stage, bookended by a soaring hillside and white sandy beach. The light scents of flower blooms and jasmine tickle the senses as guests make their way through the tranquil mangroves up to the welcome pavilion, where the walls dramatically open up to the turquoise hued bay. The owner and developer’s true love for the raw space and appreciation for the natural island beauty can be found in all of the property details. All guest accommodations and public spaces are built into the hillside and beachfront where the “land dictated placement” rather than a blueprint, with each lodging and public space carved out by a hand machete, creating natural edifices rather than a resort full of foreign objects. All materials used have an eye towards preservation and environmental awareness, utilizing indigenous materials (such as dark wood), and installing energy conserving utilities and systems throughout.

Children Policy

To aid in guest relaxation, Hermitage Bay does not accept children under the age of 12, except for the period between July 1st to August 31st and December 1st to 28th when children aged 8 and above are welcome. Children may share with two adults in the Garden Suites, maximum of one child per suite
