RIO BHONGO RESTAURANT
It is an interactive restaurant experience where guest can taste the flavors of Costa Rica while personalizing their dining options. Rio Bhongo is fun and light hearted. Encouraging guests to get to know each other as well as allowing us to show you how we do it at the Papagayo Peninsula. The food is Latin influenced with classic cooking techniques.
An open-air restaurant placed like an island on the River, surrounded by a multiple cascading infinity pool. A coffee shop featuring the finest Costa Rican chocolate and loose tea from China can be enjoyed as part of a unique culinary experience. For wine lovers our Wine Stand will present an ever changing wine tasting range for you to sample.
The experience starts with breakfast. The renowned abundance of tropical fruits in Costa Rica is reflected in the variety of: fresh fruits, vegetables and smoothies; home-made breads carefully baked inside a typical Costa Rican wood burning oven; a delectable pastry table; crepes and waffles; simply prepared meats and fish; a specialty egg station plus the irreplaceable Gallo Pinto, creating a perfect start to the day.
No need to interrupt your sunbathing session or the fun at the pool. A specially designed lunch menu includes: fresh wraps; globally inspired bowls; burgers with seven unique combinations developed by an international culinary team is cooked over a hand built BBQ, and other dishes that allow you to continue to enjoy the moment.
An interactive live cooking station welcomes guests for dinner. Your host will walk you through each culinary station, allowing you to appreciate the show and to share the cooking experience directly with the chefs, who will give you a taste of the many special dishes of the day. Dinner in Rio Bhongo is designed to replicate a family dinner. While the main course is ala carte, guests will enjoy a cold table selection where they can help themselves along with family style served salads and desserts.
OSTRA RESTAURANT
Ostra is our specialty restaurant focusing on the fresh seafood of Costa Rica. Designed to emulate a private residence, upon arrival guests will be welcomed with a small cocktail and the snack of the day before being escorted to their table. Ostra has three live culinary stations, allowing guests to sample delicious specialties that chef is preparing at that exact moment. The chef’s specialty is his approach to ceviche, all utilizing the fresh products and flavors of Costa Rica to create interesting and unique combinations.
The chefs community table reflects the local culture, where people gather around fishermen after a long day at sea, with a special feast of seafood prepared and enjoyed right there on the beach. A spacious wood covered terrace comprising trees that once adorned a nearby forest provides the perfect backdrop to this unique, culinary experience.
A "market" style feast comprising ceviche, Caribbean tataki, farm-to-table salads, catch of the day and special sauces comprising local produce such as mango will entertain your palate during an unforgettable dinner. Menu selections will showcase premium products, with contemporary presentations utilizing international cooking techniques.

CHAO PESCAO SMALL PLATES & BAR
A place designed for kicking back, relaxing and sampling the chef´s seasonal gourmet creations. Perfectly blending in with the landscape, our Tapas Bar with its open terraces, tall wooden ceilings and warm atmosphere is the place to be! The sound of nearby waves will be enjoyed as background music, while the live Latin band or chill-out sounds perfectly creates the moment.
