Luxury French Alps skiing at les "3 Vallées" offers 600km of groomed pistes. Originally consisting of three valleys, the skiing area has since been extended to a fourth valley. The three valleys comprise Saint-Bon (Courchevel and La Tania), Allues (Meribel and Mottaret), and Belleville (Val Thorens, Les Menuirs and St. Martin de Belleville). The highest slopes are found at Val Thorens while La Saulire offers the best snow conditions and some of the most challenging runs. With gradients of 38 degrees these are among the most taxing black runs in the world. Meribel on the other hand offers a wide range of good red slopes. There are also more than a dozen cross-country routes in the area, most of them created especially for the 1992 French Winter Olympics. The fourth Valley, Maurienne Valley, is adjacent to Val Thorens and can be accessed by skiing or via a long gondola to Orelle. Le Mélézin offers heated boot racks and in the mornings, the bellboys are happy to help you gear yourselves and they will lay out your skis on the snow, ready to go.

Snowboarding has become increasingly popular and Courchevel has created snow parks, snow rides and half pipes to meet the demand.

A two-kilometre toboggan run, lit for night use, links the village of Courchevel 1850 with Courchevel 1550.
