Caneel Bay was created in 1955 by Laurance Rockefeller. Tucked away on St. Johns of the US Virgin Islands, this secluded sanctuary is surrounded by lush tropical foliage and includes 7 immaculate beaches. Spanning over 170-acres, the Caneel Bay experience is as unique as it is beautiful.
The brilliant turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea wash over the dazzling white sands of the pristine beaches found at Caneel Bay. Each with their own allure and personality, like the uninhabited Honeymoon Beach or Hawksnest also known as the "Wild Beach," however you choose to relax by the sea you can find it here. Let the rolling surf, picturesque views and gentle sea breezes lull into complete tropical relaxation.
Children of all ages are welcome year round at Caneel Bay. For guests wishing to enjoy serene relaxation, two of Caneel Bay's quietest beaches - Scott & Paradise and their respective rooms (Premium Beach Front & Cottage 7) are reserved exclusively for guests 12 years and older except during the traditional holiday periods (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter).
Children under eight years of age are not permitted to dine in the Turtle Bay Estate House.
The children's program "Turtle Town" is open year round, except during low occupancy periods in which counselors are on-hand for individual sessions.
